Position Overview:

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Solar Site Foreman to lead and support residential solar PV installation projects. This role involves hands-on work including site visits, rooftop access, material loading and staging, and on-site crew coordination. The ideal candidate will have experience working on rooftops, a strong understanding of jobsite safety, and the ability to manage logistics in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site visits to assess conditions and prepare for upcoming residential solar installations.
  • Load, transport, and stage materials and tools safely and efficiently at various residential job sites.
  • Work alongside the install team on rooftops, assisting with jobsite setup and basic installation support.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with safety regulations (OHSA, CSA) and Working at Heights protocols.
  • Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily photos and progress notes.
  • Coordinate between the warehouse, project management team, and installation crews for timely delivery and use of materials.
  • Ensure clean, organized, and hazard-free job sites.
  • Provide guidance to junior crew members and help uphold productivity and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in residential solar or general construction.
  • Working at Heights certification (required).
  • Valid G-class driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on pitched rooftops.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems or solar PV installation is an asset.
  • WHMIS and other safety certifications are a plus
